Hey! So the last few days have been pretty exciting! First up: I was on the Smart Bitches, Trashy Books podcast! It was really fun chatting with Sarah, and so surreal! We talked about lots of stuff, but primarily the Romancing the Globe column I’m doing with the Romance Writers Report (RWR), where I get to learn about romance peeps from around the world and then share with you guys. Check out the Smart Bitches site for the podcast—PDF downloads of two Romancing the Globe articles are available there, too!
I’ve also been working on something else, and I’m happy to say that it’s almost ready! The first historical story I published was Be Not Afraid, in the For Love and Liberty anthology. It’s a Revolutionary War romance in which, Elijah, a black Patriot captured by the British, falls in love with Kate, a headstrong runaway determined to leave the Colonies. I love Elijah and Kate’s story and I’d been meaning to go back, spiff it up, and release it as a standalone. I’d been putting it off, but my recent and incurable Hamilton obsession really pushed me to revisit the story. So, channeling the spirit of A (dot) Ham, I went through and revised the story, tightening in some spots and expanding on plot points that got short shrift. I also added an epilogue set after the war. I’m excited about the upcoming re-release, but I’m *really* excited about this cover! I hope you love it as much as I do! I’ll have more specific details on the release date soon (click here to sign up for my newsletter and receive the release date in your inbox), but until then: ELIJAH!
